Museum Road Trip
Explore Seattle's new MOHAI!
Experience the highly acclaimed Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI) which recently opened at its new home at Lake Union Park near downtown Seattle. Architecturally, MOHAI is stunning. The building, once the Naval Reserve Armory, has been splendidly renovated. MOHAI celebrates the Northwest's diverse cultural, social, and economic history through award-winning and engaging exhibits for all ages. Our visit begins with an exclusive presentation--Seattle Icons--showcasing significant aspects of Seattle history that have made the city and Puget Sound region unique. Then, you'll begin a self-guided tour at your own pace, of the galleries and exhibits. You'll have time for a leisurely lunch on your own--check out the museum's Compass Cafe or dine at a nearby restaurant--and then explore the ever-changing sights of Lake Union Park and surrounding neighborhood. We'll travel by relaxing coach provided by our day trip partner, Bellair Charters; departing the WCC campus for Seattle at 8:30 AM sharp and leaving for home at 3:30 PM. Course fee includes exhibit admission and Seattle Icons presentation. Registration deadline is June 24. No refunds or credits can be issued after deadline date.
